We happened upon an event on Facebook for a Supper Club being held at The Grange and decided it was just the kind of event we wanted to try out. Our love for food, beautiful spaces and interesting people was definitely met (and exceeded) by Jennie and Sofia. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jennie and she immediately made us feel welcome in her beautiful home. There were several other guests who had already arrived and they were quick to do introductions and the conversation flowed easily with our welcome drinks and canapes. My favourite was the porcini mushroom arancini. We made our way to the main dining room, which was beautifully decorated with a gorgeous table setting. Everyone had a designated seat which was easy to find with the beautifully customised menus for each person. As we worked our way through the menu, each course was beautifully prepared and served. From the tortellini to the venison, the food was delicious. I also loved that Sofia visited the dining room multiple times to chat with guests and check on our service. She was warm and friendly and made us feel so welcome at her table. We were surprised at how quickly the time went and before we knew it, our taxi had arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this event and would definitely attend another Supper Club at The Grange and/or an event where Sofia Gallo is preparing food.
