There are places that just feel “right” the moment you step onto the soil. For me, that place is the Urb Farm in Wolverton. I’ve been meaning to share the story of this incredible social enterprise for a while now, and today, I have an even better reason to write about it: I’ve officially started a weekly pop-up there!
More Than Just a Garden
Tucked away on Windsor Street, the Urb Farm is a 2.5-acre oasis run by the Milton Keynes Christian Foundation. Their motto is “Growing food, growing people, growing community,” and they live it every single day.
This isn’t just about organic kale and honey. The farm serves as a vital training ground for young people who haven’t thrived in mainstream education. Here, they learn horticulture, teamwork, and confidence. When you support the farm, you aren’t just buying groceries; you are investing in a young person’s future and the biodiversity of our local area.

Real Bread for a Real Community
I am so thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining the farm during their Tuesday Market (10 am – 4 pm).
As a proud member of Sustain and The Real Bread Campaign, my mission is to bring honest, additive-free, and traditionally made bread to as many families as possible. Whether you’re coming to pick up your weekly Veg Bag or looking for a sourdough loaf made with integrity, please come find me and say hello!
More Ways to Get Your Loaf
I know that a Tuesday morning doesn’t always fit into everyone’s busy schedule, so I’ve made sure there are other ways to find my bakes across the week:
- The Cake Shed by Something Different (Castlethorpe): You can now find my bread and focaccia at this lovely spot! To ensure you don’t miss out, pre-orders are preferred.
- Collection Throughout the Week: If you can’t make it to a market, you can pre-order directly from me for collection at various times during the week.
What’s Sprouting Next?
The farm has big plans for the future, including deeper integration with local food projects. My hope is to continue growing this partnership, perhaps one day featuring field to fork directly on the farm! The goal is to make the farm a permanent, sustainable hub for Wolverton, a place where everyone is welcome to learn, shop, and eat well.
